Masafumi Gotoh performed together with ROUTE 17 Rock’n’Roll ORCHESTRA.
Masafumi Gotoh returned to Fuji Rock Festival as part for ROUTE 17 Rock’n’Roll ORCHESTRA that also featured TOSHI-LOW (BRAHMAN, OAU), GLIM SPANKY, Tortoise Matsumoto (Ulfuls), and a Finnish band US on 26 July 2024. This performance was livestream for worldwide.
Gotch became the fourth performer here and sang two legendary songs: My Generation by The Who and Imagine by John Lennon, with the Japanese lyrics version by RC Succession. During Imagine, he held up a placard ‘OUR GENERATION MUST END THE WAR’ to bring message to the world. At the end of the concert, all performers together performed The Birthday’s song Namida ga Koboresou as a tribute to Yusuke Chiba.
After this stage, Gotch not stop there, he then joined Naeba Ongaku Tsugekitai to play surprised performance, where he sang again My Generation with Kazuhiro Momo (MO’SOME TONE BENDER).
