There is a rumour that Asian Kung-Fu Generation are going to record a new anime opening for January 2023.

Twitter user @Abdul_S17 has posted a cut-out from an unnamed Japanese magazine with information that Naruto‘s spin-off Boruto is about to get an opening theme by Asian Kung-Fu Generation.

BORUTO TV Anime will receive new Opening & Ending Theme Songs in January 2023!!

The cut-out also contains a quote from Masafumi Gotoh:

I wrote the song with the feeling of opening up the present time together, hoping that there will be a bright future beyond of Boruto and Kawaki whose story I read at the beginning of Volume 1.

It is not yet officially confirmed by the band, but we know that they have a strong connection to Naruto having two opening themes used in the show — ‘Haruka Kanata’ and ‘Blood Circulator’.
