New Single ‘Demachiyanagi Parallel Universe’ on Sale on 28 September

28 September 2022 is the release date of a new single — ‘Demachiyanagi Parallel Universe’. A Blu-ray disc is included as a bonus.
We have already written that Asian Kung-Fu Generation are recording a sequel to ‘Surf Bungaku Kamakura’ and that one of the songs from the sequel is about to be featured in an upcoming anime ‘Time Machine Blues of Four and a Half Tatami’. And today, they have announced that the single will be released on 28 September this year.
We do not have any information about B-sides or a cover picture yet, but we know it will surely have a bonus Blu-ray disc. The Blu-ray will feature a recording of the concert held in November 2021 in Zepp Tokyo during the Tour 2021 ‘Quarter-Century’ which was aired live on YouTube.
There will be three editions:
- Regular edition (CD only) for 1,650 yen (incl. tax).
- Limited edition (CD + BD) for 2,420 yen (2,008 yen on Rakuten) (incl. tax).
- Limited edition (CD + BD) with an extra item for 2,420 yen (incl. tax) (Rakuten only).
These can be pre-ordered on Sony Music Japan Shop, Rakuten Books, Tower Records Online, Amazon Japan, and Tsutaya.
International pre-order is available here:

- Limited edition — 2,200 yen.
The pre-order bonuses are:
